Today, the Centers for Medicare
& Medicaid Services (CMS) released a Medicaid Informational Bulletin
announcing the continuation of the CMS Oral Health Initiative (OHI) and
informing states of upcoming technical support opportunities. The state and
national progress as of FY 2018 toward the goals of the CMS Oral Health Initiative
(OHI) are announced in this bulletin as well. CMS has used state data
collected through the annual Form CMS-416 Early and Periodic Screening,
Diagnostic and Treatment Benefit reporting process.
Additionally, CMS launched the Advancing Prevention and
Reducing Childhood Caries in Medicaid and CHIP Learning Collaborative that
will begin hosting a webinar series and an affinity group in the summer of
2020. If you are interested in learning more about the collaborative,
