Recent Findings on Medicaid LTSS Expenditures and Use On July 17th, 2:00pm-3:00pm PM EST, CMS Open Door Forums will host a call on the “Early Use of Community LTSS.”  The Administration on Community Living (ACL) and Washington State will also present on the webinar. The webinar will focus on CMS’ recently released 2016 Long Term Services and Supports Expenditure Report (https://www.medicaid.gov/medicaid/ltss/downloads/reports-and-evaluations/ltssexpenditures2016.pdf).  CMS will also present findings from the Money Follows the Person (MFP) Report from the Field (https://www.medicaid.gov/medicaid/ltss/downloads/money-follows-the-person/hcbsasadiversiontoiltc.pdf), which finds that early access to home and community based services leads to reduced reliance on institutional long term services and supports.
