Small employers can offer affordable, flexible and convenient health coverage through the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP). To qualify for SHOP health insurance, your small business or non-profit organization generally must have between 1 and 50 full-time equivalent employees and meet some other requirements: Meet your state’s minimum participation requirement (MPR) Offer SHOP coverage to all full-time employees Have a primary business address in the state where you're buying coverage Use the full-time equivalent calculator to count your business’ full-time equivalent employees and find out if you may be eligible for SHOP.
