Hawaii last week awarded new state Medicaid contracts for...
...its managed care program,
MEDQUEST. The four selected MCOs are all incumbents, though WellCare Health
Plans, Inc. and AlohaCare (a Kaiser Permanente partner) saw service area
reductions, and will be limited to serving members on the island of Oahu.
UnitedHealthcare and Hawaii Medical Service Association received statewide
contracts. Hawaii’s managed Medicaid program currently serves 335,124 people.
