New Contracting
Toolkit from the Aging and Disability Business Institute
The first part of the toolkit, Contracting Dos & Don’ts, provides an
overview of basic elements and provisions CBOs may encounter as they pursue
contracting arrangements with health care providers and payers. Contracting Dos and Don’ts is
accompanied by A Lexicon of Contracting Terms, an index of
common contracting terms that will help CBOs navigate contract discussions.
Together, these two publications cover the basics of health care
contracting, helping an organization identify and understand the
fundamentals of contract work.
The Business Institute’s Contracting Toolkit explores the critical
parts of contracts to better prepare CBOs for this process. In addition to Contracting Dos and Don’ts
and A Lexicon of
Contracting Terms, the Contracting Toolkit will include the
forthcoming Insurance in
Contracting Resource Guide and the Information Technology Requirements, Protocols and
Standards for Contracting Resource Guide.
Administered by the National Association of Area Agencies on
Aging (n4a), the Business Institute is supported by funding from The John
A. Hartford Foundation, the Administration for Community Living and The
SCAN Foundation.
