401(k) withdrawals lower than expected amid pandemic
Retirement plan providers say most households have not taken
advantage of a provision passed by Congress to ease the withdrawal of money
from retirement accounts to cope with the coronavirus crisis. Lower-income
workers who are more likely to need funds have no 401(k) plans, economists say.
