Medical marijuana
finally has the blessing of South Dakota voters after the state previously
rejected legalizing the use of cannabis for qualifying health reasons on more
than one occasion. Initiated Measure 26 soared to passage Tuesday with 68% of
ballots counted by county auditors by 11:00 p.m. favoring laxer marijuana laws
in the state that allow people with debilitating medical conditions to grow and
possess pot.
