 ...implement a new value-based payment model, Primary Care First (PCF) in July 2021. The model was originally developed by CMS for fee-for-service Medicare beneficiaries, and Humana will be the only private insurer to offer its own version of PCF in all 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C. The PCF model, which provides prospective capitated payment to providers meeting certain quality and outcomes standards, will apply to select Humana Medicare Advantage plans. Humana currently serves 4,518,844 Medicare Advantage and dual eligible members.
