Reminder: Public Wreath-Laying Ceremony Coming Up in Abilene and Corpus Christi

The VLB will hold its annual holiday wreath-laying ceremonies at the Texas State Veteran Cemeteries in Abilene on Dec. 18, and in Corpus Christi on Dec. 19.

We pause this time of year to honor and remember our nation’s military heroes.

The public is invited to participate.

Pearl Harbor Survivor Seaman 2nd Class Albert Kamenicky

Mr. Kamenicky served as a Fire Control Man aboard the USS Phoenix for the duration of WWII. Upon his return, he became an engineer for the Santa Fe Railroad.
