Fraud Watch

Wednesday, January 27, 2020

If you can spot a scam, you can stop a scam.

The AARP Fraud Watch Network is working to empower consumers to spot and avoid scams and to provide support and guidance to victims and their families when fraud happens.

Join Kathy Stokes, Director of Fraud Prevention Programs at AARP, for an interactive discussion about how to spot and avoid the latest scams and fraud. Research has shown that if you know about a specific scam, you are 80% less likely to engage with the scammer. And if you do engage, you are 40% less likely to fall victim. By the end of the webinar, participants will:

  • Learn how to spot and avoid scams, including COVID-19 scams, impostor scams, and more
  • Learn more about AARP’s free fraud prevention resources and helpline
