CDC report outlines disparate impact of pandemic
A study published in the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly
Report found counties with high percentages of Black, Asian or Hispanic
residents reported high COVID-19 incidence during the early months of the
pandemic. The findings demonstrate that "long-standing systemic health and
social inequities have placed many racial and ethnic minority groups at
increased risk for COVID-19," researchers said.
