COVID inoculation rates in U.S. minority communities are
lower compared to white communities. Studies show that causes of lower
vaccination rates include inaccessibility of vaccination sites, language
barriers, deportation fears by undocumented immigrants, the
digital divide, misinformation about vaccine effectiveness and
safety, lack of trust in government institutions and drug companies, and
other factors.
