Military building more capacity in US for evacuees as clock ticks on deadline to leave staging bases in Europe There is now space for 36,000 Afghan evacuees on eight military installations in the United States and the Defense Department is working to boost that number to 50,000, said Air Force Gen. Louisiana National Guard soldier dies at state agency parking lot The cause of the death is under investigation by the Louisiana State Police. Sources close to the situation said the soldier died by suicide, according to WBRZ, a local TV station. READ MORE
