COVID cases are the highest they've been since March, and
that sounds very alarming until you break down the numbers. D CEO's
Will Maddox explores why this is something to monitor but not panic about.
Hospitalizations are up, but that increase has been gradual and
manageable. Cases are up, but it's nowhere near the surges of the past and is
below other regions in the U.S. (Of course, the increase in home tests skew
case numbers. Hospitalizations are what to watch, and they also trail past
surges.)
The biggest thing you can do? Get vaccinated if you haven't yet,
and get boosted if you're due for it. It could make all the difference in
August, when kids go back to school.
