Drinking enough water every day is always important, but
as summer temperatures rise and many of us start spending more time outdoors,
remembering to refresh is essential. That’s why this week’s intention is to
hydrate.
Our bodies are made up of about 50-70% H2O, and every cell, tissue, and organ
requires it to thrive. No one size
fits all when it comes to how much water to consume, but experts recommend
at least four to six cups daily for most healthy adults. Here are a few helpful tips to stay
hydrated:
drink a glass of water first thing in the morning,
snack on water-rich foods like strawberries, cucumbers, watermelon, and
tomatoes, and be sure to replenish lost body fluids post-perspiration.
