HBRC Webinar Overview 

 

Wednesday, September 28, 2022, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. ET

 

This 60-minute webinar is for new and current users of the Healthy Brain Resource Center (HBRC). This session will include live demos to orient new users to the HBRC and update current users. Participants of this session will also get a sneak peek at new HBRC features under development. There will also be time for questions, recommendations, and feedback about resources and user experience.  

 

As a result of this webinar, participants should be able to:

• Describe the purpose of the HBRC.

• Access the HBRC.

• Effectively search the HBRC.

• Submit resources for consideration to the HBRC.

• Submit recommendations and feedback to enhance the HBRC.

 

This webinar is for state, local, and tribal health agencies, as well as other organizations interested in implementing and evaluating actions from the Healthy Brain Initiative Road Map.

This second installment of the “Public Health and Faith” webinar series will highlight the work of The Balm in Gilead, Inc. This leading national organization unites public health and faith to improve the health of communities of color. It will also showcase the faith community’s partnership with the Tennessee Department of Health.

 

 

Brain Health Academy: Social Isolation, Loneliness, and Dementia

The next Brain Health Academy course is Social Isolation, Loneliness, and Dementia. This session will review tools to assess social activity and loneliness and provide intervention strategies to improve mental health and reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s.

 

Participants of the Brain Health Academy can earn continuing education credit offered through a partnership with the American Society on Aging.
