The Small
Business Health Options Program (SHOP) is for businesses and
non-profit organizations that want to provide health and/or dental
insurance to their employees. To offer SHOP insurance to your employees,
your business or non-profit organization must meet the following
requirements:
- Have
1-50 full-time equivalent employees (FTEs)
- Offer
coverage to all full-time employees
- Generally must enroll at least 70% of the
employees you offer insurance to
- Have
an office or employee work site within the state whose SHOP you want
to use
If you are
eligible and would like to provide your employees insurance through SHOP,
you can work with a SHOP-registered agent or broker to assist you with
