All People Free of Cancer: Breast Cancer Awareness Month Activities 2022

All People Free of Cancer: CDC's Activities Commemorating Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Dear Colleagues, Partners, and Award Recipients:

In support of the national Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) October 2022 observance, the CDC Division of Cancer Prevention and Control will focus messaging and activities on finding cancer early, when it’s easiest to treat.

Content and activities will be structured to empower people to take the steps needed to find breast cancer early, when it’s easiest to treat by:

  • Knowing your risk for breast cancer
  • Knowing how you can lower your risk of breast cancer
  • Knowing your family history
  • Knowing when to get a breast cancer screening
  • Knowing where to get a breast cancer screening

We invite you to use this media toolkit during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise awareness and share resources and information.

Through our cancer prevention and control programs and resources, CDC aims to reduce risk of breast cancer. This includes providing resources and programs to improve the quality of life for cancer survivors, their families, and caregivers.

We look forward to learning how we can continue to work together to make All People are Free of Cancer. Until then, please look at these examples of our cancer prevention and control resources.
