Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas and Southwestern Health
Resources Agree to New Contract It came down to the wire, but Blue Cross Blue Shield of
Texas and Southwestern Health Resources finally settled on a contract, just
hours before the previous one was due to expire. D CEO’s Will Maddox says that the terms of the contract
are confidential, but the last-minute nature was par for the course; the two
settled contract disputes in 2016 and 2018 in similar fashion. “This agreement provides BCBSTX members continued access
to Southwestern Health Resources’ network providers, which includes UT
Southwestern and Texas Health Resources doctors and facilities, enabling us
to deliver our highest quality care to the hundreds of thousands of patients
who give us the privilege of their trust and confidence,” said THR, UTSW, and
SWHR in a joint statement. |
