Centene Corp., the largest exchange insurer in the U.S., will expand its Affordable Care Act offerings to one new state, Alabama, for the 2023 plan year. The insurer’s exchange arm, Ambetter, will also move into 60 new counties across 12 of its existing exchange markets. With 186,404 members, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama is the exchange market leader in its home state. Centene currently enrolls 2,022,049 exchange members nationwide.
