Creating
an estate plan is an act of love. It’s not just an item
to check off your to-do list but an essential life task that can help you
provide for the people you love, communicate healthcare and financial
decisions for the future, and give peace of mind to yourself and your
family.
As
an act of love for our community, PanCAN partners with FreeWill to offer this
free estate planning tool. Through FreeWill, you can
create your will and other important documents like an advance healthcare
directive or financial power of attorney — all for free.

And in honor of World Cancer
Day, you can also use your estate plan to advance the fight against
cancer.
By including a bequest in your will or trust to PanCAN, you can build a
legacy that advances scientific research, builds community, advocates for
patients, and ultimately, creates a better future.
Take action today — for yourself, your loved ones, and each and every
person affected by pancreatic cancer.
Together,
we can build a future where pancreatic cancer never has the final say.
Sincerely,

Pamela Acosta Marquardt
Founder, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
P.S. As you’re planning your estate, please note that recent legislation
has updated the age for Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) so that
donors 73 and older must take an RMD. However, if you were subject to
RMDs in 2022, you must take your RMD in 2023. These funds can be used
towards a tax-savvy IRA gift!
