Dear
“Health, Hope &
Inspiration” and “Our Journey of Hope” partners, City
of Hope, one of the largest cancer research and treatment organizations
in the United States, and Cancer Treatment Centers of America
(CTCA) are now one. City of Hope will continue and expand the
faith-sensitive compassionate care that has always characterized CTCA.
With
City of Hope, people of faith will still experience the same
exceptional patient care combined with access to a world leader in
cancer research, treatment and prevention. Their hospitals in
California, Georgia, Illinois and Arizona are dedicated to making a
difference in the lives of cancer patients. Their team of more than
11,000 includes researchers, associates, scientists, doctors, nurses,
allied health professionals, graduate students, fundraising
specialists, marketing professionals, volunteers and support staff—all
united by their desire to find cures and save lives.
City
of Hope is dedicated to tailoring a combination of cancer treatments to
the needs of each individual patient. From advanced genomic testing to
state-of-the-art technologies and evidence-informed supportive care
therapies like spiritual support that target
cancer-related side effects, comprehensive services are delivered by a
team of cancer experts. Their national network also includes many
clinical care locations, offering consultations and other medical
services in a convenient outpatient setting.
The
Rev. Percy McCray will serve as National Director of Specialized
Outreach, which includes interfaith communities at City of Hope,
ensuring that patients of all faiths and others will have the support
and encouragement they need through their cancer diagnosis, while
empowering these communities with education and appropriate outreach
messaging.
