Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid
Services (CMS) is highlighting several data products the agency released
during the month of March: Medicare & Medicaid Drug
Spending Data and Medicare Part B Discarded Drug Units Report – Annual Update The Medicare Part B, Medicare Part D & Medicaid Spending by Drug datasets provide
greater transparency into prescription drug spending trends in the Medicare
Part B and Part D programs as well as Medicaid. The datasets focus on average
spending per dosage unit and change in average spending per dosage unit over
time. Additionally, interactive dashboards allow users to visualize data and
search for specific drugs. The Medicare Part B Discarded Drug Units Report
is a set of summary tables that presents spending information for discarded
amounts of a drug in Medicare Part B. The annual update now includes data for
calendar year 2021. Medicare Telehealth Trends Data
– Quarterly Update The Medicare Telehealth Trends Data highlights
trends in the use of telehealth services by Medicare beneficiaries between
January 1, 2020 and September 30, 2022. The data allows for analysis of
telehealth utilization by quarter, state and various demographic
characteristics. CMS Fast Facts – Biannual
Update The CMS Fast Facts is a quick reference
statistical summary with information on Medicare and Medicaid enrollment,
utilization, expenditures, as well as Medicare provider counts. This
update includes data for years 2019-2023. Medicare Enrollment – Monthly
Update The Medicare Monthly Enrollment file presents
Medicare enrollment by geographic area and now includes enrollee counts for
December 2022. |
