As humans, we all have
burdens. Some are struggling financially, some have lost
loved ones, others are living with a chronic yet invisible illness. We may
turn a brave face to the world, but the burdens are still there. And while
each day can be different, some days it feels like there isn’t enough
kindness to go around.

That’s why PAN
has declared April to be Kindness Month—see more in our video! We know we can’t lift everybody’s
burdens. But when we all treat each other with a little more kindness,
we can make those burdens easier to carry.

Our PAN community knows a lot about caring
for others. In March, 560 people kindly responded
to our Pay It Forward challenge with their gift of any size. Over the next
two weeks, we’ll help you spread even more kindness by sharing some free
resources we hope you’ll enjoy, use, and pass along.
And did you know that
being kind can actually improve your own well-being? When
we help someone else, our brains release chemicals like serotonin that
reduce depression and anxiety.
