This National Young Adult Cancer
Awareness Week, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
(LLS) is highlighting the unique challenges young adult blood
cancer patients and survivors face beyond treatment—including
social, emotional, and other concerns.
Meet Haley. While attending college, she was diagnosed in 2020
with stage 3B nodular sclerosing Hodgkin lymphoma (NSHL). Just
before starting treatment, she froze her eggs—an unimaginable
situation to most 22-year-olds—as blood cancer and treatment can
affect fertility.

Fortunately, Haley responded well to treatment,
has reached remission, and is following her dreams.

To
help young patients and survivors like Haley, LLS offers a sense of community and free,
comprehensive resources for every step of the journey,
including support from:
LLS’s goal is to help young blood cancer patients
not only survive but also go on to live their best lives. With
your compassionate gift, we’ll be there for them until we find
cures.
