Comedian Wayne Brady is able to find humor in almost any situation. In the latest issue of ALZ magazine, Brady talks about how humor served him well as a caregiver to his grandmother, Valerie Petersen, who died from Alzheimer’s in 2022.

Younger-onset dementia affects people younger than age 65, and can present unique challenges for families. This group is designed for family caregivers to connect to others who understand. Golfer uses father’s final words for inspiration

Amateur golfer Sam Bennett finished tied for 16th at last week’s Masters Tournament. Bennett lost his father, Mark, to younger-onset Alzheimer’s in 2021 and has his final words — “Don’t wait to do something” — tattooed on his forearm for inspiration.
