TDI posts SB
1264 waiver rule for comment
The
Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) has posted a proposed rule on the
narrow exception to the state’s new surprise billing protections under
Senate Bill 1264. TDI posted an emergency version of the rule earlier
this week and is now going through the regular rulemaking process.
There
will be a hearing on the proposed rule at 1 p.m. February 4 at the
William P. Hobby, Jr. State Office Building in Austin. Those who plan
to testify are asked to send a summary of their testimony to ChiefClerk@tdi.texas.gov
by noon January 28 to facilitate a meaningful discussion.
