Daily aspirin plus combo pill prevents cardiac events
People with a moderate risk of heart attack and stroke can reduce
their risks by up to 40% with a pill that combines four generic drugs along
with a daily aspirin, researchers reported in The New England Journal of
Medicine. The polypill combines atenolol, ramipril, hydrochlorothiazide and
simvastatin.
