Medicare Advantage Value-Based Insurance Design Model Application Process for Calendar Year 2022 Today, CMS released the Calendar Year (CY) 2022 Request for Applications (RFA) for the Value-Based Insurance Design (VBID) Model here, including the CY 2022 RFA for the Hospice Benefit Component of the VBID Model here. The CY 2022 Applications for the VBID Model are due on Friday, April 16, 2021 by 11:59 PM PDT, and the application portal will go live by February 1, 2021 on the VBID overview page. This applies to all VBID Model components, including value-based insurance design by socioeconomic status, Part C and Part D rewards and incentives programs, and the Hospice Benefit Component. The CY 2022 VBID Model and Hospice Benefit Component Overview Webinar will be held on January 14, 2021, from 4-5 PM EST. Please register for this webinar at this link here. Office Hours will be held on February 11, 2021, from 4-5 PM EST to offer attendees an opportunity to ask questions related to the VBID Model, the Hospice Benefit Component, and the Model application process.
