• Pandemic stress weighing on Minnesota's young people

The COVID-19 pandemic hasn't been as deadly for young Minnesotans, but they're feeling the pain of missed milestones and the challenges of life disrupted. Now, even with a vaccine on the horizon, the pandemic's end seems distant for many young people who are likely low on the priority list for vaccinations. And the exhaustion is hitting some young people hard, especially those who have spent months watching some of their peers make potentially unsafe choices. Another 94 deaths due to COVID-19 were reported by state health officials Friday, the second-highest daily total of the pandemic.Among the deceased was a person above the age of 100. Six of the people who died were under the age of 60, including two in their 30s. We are tracking the spread of COVID-19 in Minnesota here. With some Americans now paying the price for what they did over Thanksgiving and falling sick with COVID-19, health officials are warning people — begging them, even — not to make the same mistake during the Christmas and New Year's season.
