Updates from the RAISE Family Caregiving and Supporting Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Advisory Councils RAISE Full Council Meeting: ACL is pleased to announce the seventh Full Council Meeting of the RAISE Family Caregiving Advisory Council (FCAC) on January 19, 2021, 12:30-4:30 PM ET. This virtual meeting is open to the public. Registration is not required to attend via webinar, which will go live 15 minutes before the start time. The webinar link and agenda will be posted on the RAISE webpage prior to the meeting. Council Adopts Recommendations: At its November meeting, the RAISE FCAC adopted 26 recommendations aimed at establishing a national approach to addressing the needs of family caregivers of all ages and circumstance. The meeting summary, presentation, and closed-captioned recording are available on the RAISE webpage. SGRG Finalizes Recommendations: On October 20, 2020, the Advisory Council to Support Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (SGRG) finalized 22 recommendations to advance change and improve supports to Kinship Families and Grandfamilies. The full council met in September for an open discussion of proposed recommendations. The recommendations of both councils will be included in their respective initial Reports to Congress. They will also add to the foundation for the National Family Caregiving Strategy.
