Joint Commission: Address health care workers'
concerns
A Joint Commission report called on US hospitals and health
systems to address the concerns of stressed health care workers after a review
of more than 2,000 comments to its Office of Quality and Patient Safety showed
people had fears about the unknown, worries about contracting COVID-19 or
taking it home to family members, and problems with staff shortages. The report
recommended more open communications, flexible scheduling and improved access
to mental health services.
