Survey: More Americans are not eating fruits,
vegetables
A survey by the National Center for Health Statistics revealed
that 95% of Americans said they eat some vegetables every day, though
registered dietitian Connie Diekman noted that 90% of American adults did not
achieve the government's recommendation of two or three cups of vegetables a
day. Conversely, only two-thirds of them eat fruit every day, which was
significantly lower compared with 20 years ago, when 77% of Americans said they
ate fruit every day.
