Hiring Our Heroes awards new Toyota to Army Veteran Army Veteran Ernest Knight entered a Hiring Our Heroes sweepstakes through a link he saw in (this) VA’s VetResources newsletter.  ‘I’ll put my name, even though it’s never going to happen” Knight said. “And surprisingly, it happened. When I found out that I won a car, I was totally shocked.” Knight was randomly selected among more than 85,000 entries. This new program, which began on April 12, 2021, can be used to reimburse a family for funeral-related expenses that VA doesn’t cover, such as the cost of the casket or urn, clergy fees and funeral home fees.
