Not Using These Food Storage Tips? It's Costing You.

Keeping Fruits and Veggies Fresh Can Help Keep You Healthy

Fresh fruits and vegetables are like mini care packages – bursting with flavor and filled with the vitamins and minerals your body needs to stay healthy. The challenge? Keeping these foods fresh and ready to eat.

Not to worry! You can help your fruits and veggies last longer with proper storage. Who hasn’t had a head of lettuce (or some other leafy green) meet its sad, unused end alone in the bottom of a refrigerator bin? But did you know refrigerating lettuce with a paper towel can keep it fresh longer? The paper towel helps to soak up the moisture lettuce naturally gives off. Using this method, you’ll have fewer soggy pieces (yuck!), dependably crisp greens, and a little less food waste.
