A new state commission held its first meeting this week to discuss "some of the highest-stakes questions before us as a society right now," particularly when it comes to the future of office work, said state Senator Eric P. Lesser, the commission's co-chair. The commission has been tasked with conducting a "comprehensive study" on the way new technology and innovation have impacted the workforce and the economy.
