Massachusetts on Monday unveiled a new
website through which residents can receive a digital
vaccination record.
The state said it’s not a first step toward mandatory “vaccine passports”
that would be required to travel or gain entry to venues, my colleague
Hiawatha Bray reported. Rather, it's an optional tool that people can use
for their convenience.
The website verifies a person's COVID-19 vaccination records and produces
a QR code, which can be quickly scanned by a venue using a smartphone
equipped with a vaccine verification app.
Here are answers to some questions you may have about the new system and
a step-by-step
guide to get your QR code.
