The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday loosened
its mask guidance, saying most Americans live in places
where healthy people can safely stop wearing masks.
The CDC's new measure for determining COVID levels in each county in the
country moves away from focusing just on COVID-19 case numbers to include
indicators that point to what’s happening at hospitals.
In Massachusetts, every county has been deemed to have low or medium
levels of COVID-19, according to the CDC's new system, meaning most
people don’t need to wear masks indoors. Explore a
