New Publication: Early-onset dementia Among Privately-insured Adults With and Without Congenital Heart Defects in the United States, 2015–2017

 

Authors from CDC recently published an article in the International Journal of Cardiology about the risk for dementia among adults with congenital heart defects. Results indicate that privately-insured US adults with heart defects may be twice as likely to be diagnosed with early-onset dementia as those without a heart defect.

New Publication: Unpaid Dementia Caregiving: A Policy and Public Health Imperative 

 

Eleven million unpaid caregivers provide long-term support and help to people with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). The increased risk of ADRD overwhelming unpaid caregivers in the United States is imminent, and unpaid dementia caregiving needs to be a public health priority. Read this recently published article in the Public Policy & Aging Report to learn about the policy solutions and initiatives to prioritize dementia caregiving as a policy and public health imperative.
