Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm Denies Biden Administration Culpability for High Gas Prices

Spencer Brown: On Thursday morning in a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm repeatedly refused to acknowledge that the Biden administration’s war on U.S. energy had caused gas prices to rise since the president took office and started cracking down on domestic energy production. Even after Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri laid out the proof of the Biden administration’s anti-fossil fuel policies that have limited supply and driven up costs, Granholm still wouldn’t accept any responsibility for the soaring cost of gas as the national average for regular unleaded hit another all-time high on Thursday morning (Townhall).

Townhall: Senator @HawleyMO just NUKED @SecGranholm for REFUSING to admit that Biden’s energy policies have increased gas prices (Twitter).

RNC Research: Wondering why gas is up $2 since Biden took office (Twitter)? Fox News: The national average cost of a regular gallon of gasoline hit $4.589 early Thursday morning. This price topped Wednesday’s previous record of $4.567, which had beat Tuesday’s record of $4.523, which in turn had surpassed Monday’s record of $4.470 (Fox News).
