New TDI report
The
Texas Department of Insurance posted its “Ground Ambulance Billing Practices Report”
(PDF) online.
The
report includes information about:
- How ground ambulance providers handle
encounters with patients.
- Who is responsible for payment.
- How services are billed.
Senate Bill 790 required TDI to
conduct a study on ground ambulance billing practices.
