Webinar: Innovations in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias Caregiver Support Programs

Innovative Community Strategies

Date: Wednesday, December 7, 2022 - 12:00 PM EDT

Register here!

Individuals dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid are almost three times as likely to have Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) than individuals eligible for Medicare only [1]. The tools, resources and strategies presented in this webinar will be directly related to the needs of dually eligible individuals and their caregivers.

This event will build upon the information delivered in Resources for Integrated Care’s September 2022 webinar titled: Innovations in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) Caregiver Support Programs: Building and Leveraging Support Systems. This webinar will explore innovative ways that health equity and caregiver support are addressed across ADRD programs supporting dually eligible people living with ADRD. The event speakers will review community-level strategies to promote adequate care for individuals living with ADRD and support for their caregivers.

Featured Speakers:

  • Karen Rose, PhD, RN, FGSA, FAAN, Vice Dean and Professor, College of Nursing, Director, Center for Healthy Aging, Self-Management, and Complex Care, The Ohio State University
  • Katie Scott, MPH, President, CarePartners
  • Jo Smith, Caregiver Panelist

National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW) Toolkit

This year NIVW is December 5-9, 2022. NIVW serves to remind everyone that there’s still time to get a flu vaccine. The NIVW toolkit has resources that can be used to share key flu information, including flu vaccination messages and sharable resources. We hope you join us this year as we encourage dually eligible individuals to protect themselves and their loved ones from flu this season by getting a flu vaccine. Please find CDC’s NIVW resources here.

CMS also has outreach materials in English, Spanish, and 14 other languages to encourage individuals to get their flu shots. Postcards in multiple languages can be found here.
