CareSource last week selected...
...Cigna's Express Scripts as its new pharmacy benefits manager,
with the contract slated to begin in January 2020. The insurer previously
contracted with CVS/Caremark. CareSource operates the largest Medicaid managed
care plan in Ohio, and the fifth largest in the U.S., with 1,187,855 members.
CVS has come under fire from Ohio Medicaid officials in recent months, after
the state found that the PBM charged nearly $200 million more for Medicaid
prescriptions than it reimbursed Ohio pharmacists.
