Reproductive and Sexual Health of Women Living with Paralysis

The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation Paralysis Resource
Center (PRC) will host a webinar on April 17 at 3 - 4 pm ET about
reproductive and sexual health of women living with any type of
paralysis.
Cody Unser, MPH, will present “Wheelchair Barbie Goes to the
Gynecologist,” a perspective on the reproductive and sexual health of women
living with paralysis. The webinar will explore a number of topics
including the importance of reproductive and sexual health for women with
paralysis, secondary conditions that impact reproductive health, sexuality
for women with paralysis, barriers to quality health care and their
consequences, and strategies for locating accessible health care services.
Cody will also share her experiences with the health care system as a woman
living with paralysis. Read more about the webinar.
This is the first event in the PRC’s new Women’s Health
Series, which focuses on the health and well-being of women living with
paralysis.

ACL funds the Paralysis
Resource Center to provide comprehensive information for people
living with spinal cord injury, paralysis and mobility-related disabilities
and their support networks. Resources include information and referral by
phone and email in multiple languages including Spanish; a peer and family
support mentoring program; a military and veterans program; multicultural
outreach services; quality of life grants; and a national website.
