Trump Signs Second Coronavirus Response Bill
According to the story, it “provides paid sick leave, unemployment help
and free testing to Americans” (Fox New). Federal taxes can be delayed
without penalty (Townhall). A look at some of the problems with
the federal help, including the fear that some of the temporary fixes may
become permanent (National Review). Already, 18 percent of
households have lost work due to the virus (Washington Examiner). The public is (or
was) most concerned about how this impacts the economy (Pew Research). California Governor Gavin
Newsom says schools are unlikely to re-open before the end of the school year (Business Insider). Though he could do
much more by suspending AB5 (Red State). Orange County orders “public and
private gatherings” shut down (Hot Air).
