AstraZeneca revises its COVID-19 vaccine efficacy
AstraZeneca said an analysis of additional data showed its
COVID-19 vaccine is 76% effective at stopping symptomatic cases, compared with
the 79% efficacy it earlier reported. An independent panel had accused the
company of withholding information, and some European countries temporarily
halted use of the vaccine after reports that some patients experienced blood
clots.
