The aviation industry kept vaccine supplies moving
Why it matters: We touched on this when COVID-19 vaccines first became
available, but this slideshow does a great job of highlighting how the
general aviation industry continues to be instrumental in transporting
supplies of vaccines around the globe, particularly in remote areas in which distribution
is challenging and shorter runways preclude the use of larger aircraft.
Airbus helicopters have helped facilitate mass vaccination campaigns in over
30 countries, while Italy-based Tecnam has modified its P2012 aircraft and
equipped them with special freezers designed to maintain ultra-cold
