Memorial Day may cause a case spike, but because of vaccines, it's not as likely

The Memorial Day holiday could create a bump in coronavirus cases in some places, experts say, but in states with high vaccination rates (like Massachusetts!), it's a lot less likely. "I suspect we’ll be fine in Massachusetts and New England, with a very low likelihood of seeing a post-Memorial Day spike. I am more concerned about other parts of the country," said Dr. David Hamer, a physician at Boston Medical Center and a Boston University epidemiologist.
