Can you mix and match COVID-19 vaccines?

With talk of booster doses in the news, you may be wondering: Do you have to get a booster shot from the same company that made your first COVID-19 vaccines?

Maybe not.

A National Institutes of Health study found that "an immune response will be generated regardless of the primary COVID-19 vaccination regimen."

The issue of mixing and matching vaccine doses is expected to be discussed Friday at a meeting of the FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee.
