Wu's office said in a statement that the mandate will be lifted once three specific criteria are met. Those benchmarks are tied to the number of available ICU beds, the number of COVID-19 hospitalizations, and community positivity rate.
Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is continuing to recommend that people wear masks in indoor public places.
